Pronagar Agar-Agar

Pronagar Agar-Agar is a substance that you can add to your dishes to benefit from its healthy properties.

Agar-Agar is a substance present in sea vegetables and is extracted mainly from red gelidium algae. These algae are considered of higher quality and purity, and therefore the best raw material for obtaining the best agar-agar. The agar-agar resulting from this alga does not need to undergo any type of chemical transformation in its extraction process.

The name agar-agar is a Malay term, where agar means gelatin and, as is customary in Malay cultures of Southeast Asia, the word is repeated twice for emphasis, the literal translation being gelatin-gelatin or pure gelatin.

Its ability to absorb water causes it to swell when in contact with it and produce a viscous mucilage that forms gelatin when boiled. This makes it used to thicken food, both sweet and salty, without adding flavor, color and smell to the preparations, since it lacks them.

With the Agar-Agar you can thicken sauces without having to resort to flour or bread. In addition, you can make natural jellies in vegan format, a flan or any delicious sweet dessert that you can think of. It will give texture without hardly adding calories, since you need very little amount.
